Carseats are made for the backseat.
It all depends on the number of seats not the number of doors.
I can t say from experience but i heard that the stationary seats are not too bad in a 2 door because you just have to put the baby in and out and the seats slide pretty well to get the baby in and out.

It was silly to watch but it worked for them.
My sil had a 2 door jeep when she was pregnant and until my niece was about 9 months old.
She put the baby in a convertible car seat rear facing in the back seat behind the passenger seat and would load the baby through the back door.
When it comes to getting a convertible car seat that fits well in a small car like the honda civic parents have a difficult time making an informed decision.
But the baby seats that have to be taken in and out can be sort of tedious trying to get them in there and back out again.
You would still put the car seat in the back seat.
They can contain children of different weight and sizes.
And it would be a bit of a pain but you can do it.
You can put a car seat in a 2 door car.
If the front seat fold forward for access to a back seat then its ok.
